Lineup for opener

Forward/ Downie, Hall, Harju, Malone, Moore, Panik, Persson, Pouliot, Purcell, Thompson, Tyrell, Wright
Defense/ Clark, Jackson, Ohlund, Roy, Smaby, Vernace

Goalie/ Ellis, Desjardins

Lineup mostly contains the "bubble forwards" -- Hall, Harju, Persson, Pouliot, Thompson, Tyrell, and Wright. Wow. Holy Competition, Batman!

Plus Richard Panik in what hopefully will be his last gauntlet test to get an ELC this year. A Belleville or Norfolk residence is at stake.

Might depend on how stable SY thinks the Belleville situation is....I know they weren't good last season..

Anxious to see how Harju does...He hasn't stood out to me, although he looks like he has some tools. Persson looked like a crafty veteran to me...

Surprised Snaggle didn't get a start here...But i expect he will get a couple games..

It's a full-blown battle royale for a couple lower line and bottom pairing spots. I hope they're all hungry.

I hope Fritz gets a game or 2. Probably against the tougher teams though.

So true tim. the competition is great and these guys should know that there are people waiting to come up so they should maintain a high level of play. it will be very inteesting to see who separates themselves from the pack. Welcome back meritocracy!

Radio broadcast for tonight's game on 1250 WHNZ (Tampa) starting at 8pm EDT.

For those of you out of town and got an iPhone, may I suggest the free app iheartradio which streams 1250 (and many other radio streams nationwide).
