Caps offered Huet $5 million - he took the absolutely crazy offer offer from Chicago for just over $5.5 million. Difference of 600K sure, but I don't think he's even worth $5 million ..

Guess Huet had the dollar signs in his eyes .. $5 million is a great offer for what he's proven so far, and playing with a young team that just tasted playoffs.

Whatever, one less goalie to have to worry about in the Southeast.

I was a bit off from what I remembered, looks like it was $5.625.

Even still, that's a hell of a lot to be spending on Huet.

That's over $12 million tied up in two goaltenders in the Windy City ... lol

I think Huet was overpaid but he was very good for the Caps down the stretch... my question is, why ditch Huet for Theodore if you're only going to save 1 mil?

Maybe Huets wife didnt like Washington so they went with what they saw as the next best thing, Theodore still I think the Avalanche are in the worst goaltending position in the NHL now, Budaj and Raycroft I mean wha?
