I will say this... if a ping-pong ball "cheats" EDM and TOR out of the top two picks, and gives the #1 overall to a south-of-the-border non-hockey market team, the wailing throughout the land will be unsurpassed.

It's tough, because I can't get as amped for this draft. I'm spoiled by getting Stammer and Hedman. Whoever we get this year is going to be more of a project.

My first real look at this on mynhldraft.com

is if they cannot get El Nino at 7-8-9, move down and get extra picks..

Not thrilled about Connolly and Sheahan (although i hope to watch him more closely in the NCAAs) and don't trust the Russians.

I agree with CT. If you can't get Neiderreiter, I think you move down and try to get an extra 3rd that we can package with one of our other 3rds to move back into the 2nd round. The Bolts need a 2nd round pick.

I don't follow the logic in giving up a Top 10ish pick in order to get a 2nd rounder.

+1 The last couple drafts have had solid players in the top 10. Guess some people want to beef up our affiliates.

Agreed, so many good picks that could be around when we pick, wouldnt make sense to remove that choice for a 3rd or 2nd rounder.
