Default Breast Cancer 3day walk in Tampa

I usually just lurk on this site and read what everyone has to say. However I am participating in this years Breast Cancer 3day walk in Tampa and am trying to raise donations. I am not even totally sure if this is okay to post, but I thought I'd try.

I will be walking 60 miles over the course of 3 days with thousands of other men and women. We are walking because everyone deserves a lifetime. Every mother, every sister, every daughter deserves to know a life free from breast cancer.

The net proceeds will support breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment through Susan G Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund.

I’ve agreed to raise $2,200.00 in donations, but I want to do more for the cause and have set a personal goal of $3,000.00. But I need your help. You can support me by making a donation by logging onto www.the3day.org. Just click on donate now, and enter my name in to search for my personal fund-raising page. You can also call 800-996-3DAY to donate over the phone.

One woman is diagnosed with breast cancer every 3 minutes and one woman will die from breast cancer every 13 minutes in the United States. That means that without a cure 1 in 8 women in the US will continue to be diagnosed with breast cancer. An estimated 40,460 women and 450 men will die from breast cancer in 2008 alone.

Thank you very much for your support. You can follow my progress as I fund-raise and train by viewing my participant page on www.the3day.org. Please advise your family, friends and coworkers of my mission as well. Every dollar donated is a step closer to a cure.

Thank you,

Kasey Powell

I don't have a problem with this being here, but we'd certainly welcome you posting more.

Good luck!

Kasey,

Do you have a PID issued by your employer?

I ride horses professionally and do freelance photography work for a living so I don't actually have a full time employer.
