I HATE that team. 1.) Panthers. 2.) Thrashers. 3.) Capitals. In that order. Dunno what was up with that guy, he lost his mind out there tonight. 2 stupid penalties and the cross-checking was just selfish and uncalled for. Maybe Konopka insulted his mom or something.

The Bolts play up (or down) to the competition it seems.

The best part is, the Caps now play Florida tomorrow. Hopefully they'll take their frustrations out on them & the cats'll be softened up for Thursday.

The Capitals have become my most hated team by far. I have no love for the Turds or Trash, but watching / playing against the Craps the last few years really makes my blood boil. Ovechkin shows no respect for the game or for anyone else. I can't stand having to watch him run around delivering cheap shots and over the top celebrations with a visor on, and then having to hear Boudreau fellate him along with the media. I wish Downie got the opportunity to rip that stupid visor off his head and make his smile even uglier.

I'm sure we'll be reading / hearing how Downie is an unstable nutjob tommorrow for standing up to Ovechqueen (stay AWAY from HF!!!). but yeah Pete, that was beautiful to watch.

Great game. Loved the beatdown by Z and the strong upper cut by Downie. OV is a punk who plays recklessly and is protected by the league. F you Caps!

Can't dispute the talent though....That said, what did he have, maybe two shots on net??? And his run of Downie should have been 2 for charging and two for roughing..refs gave them each 2--total BS...Man, they didn't like getting their assses handed to them did they???

Gotta LOVE Downie...He handles Bradley pretty good after basically almost being sucker punched. He is like a smaller Tocchet. What a totally satisfying result, after thinking in the second that they were circling the drain..

This was a great game to be at. On the way I was wondering if I wanted to put myself through the agony. What a surprise.

Several times OV could have had more than the 2 minutes, but it seems the ref's did not want him off the ice. Downie yapped at him the whole time they were in the box and you could tell it was not over.

The beat down by Z was fun to watch. You could see him telling the linesman to get out of the way once the puck was dropped, and when it did.......off they went. I was shocked that Z beat him down like he did. It was not even close.
