The Bolts today signed Paul Szczechura to a two year deal. He had 21 points in 19 games since coming over on a trade from Iowa. He was there on an AHL SPC.

Great signing for the ADs.

The correct pronunciation is she-hur-a. But in Norfolk he's known as Chewy. Great signing. He really came into his own in Norfolk after the trade. They needed to hold on to him.

Yes Leighton would be a great signing. He's the best goalie in the AHL this year and has experience.

I do think they need to sign Colton Yellow Horn sooner rather than later. This season Yellow Horn had 48 goals and 49 assists and so far in the playoffs he has 9 goals and 9 assists. He has the potential to be a big offensive boost to the ADs next season. Wanvig and Milley are gone, so there are holes to fill.

Leighton played in Norfolk when he was in the Hawks organization. Ironically he was in a tamdem with Craig Anderson, the Panthers current backup goalie who set the record this season with a 53 shot shutout. Probably the best goalie tandem we've had in Norfolk so far.

Yellow Horn's numbers are pretty impressive, the 18 playoff points over 13 games and the 97 points in the regular season over just 67 GP.

What's his style of play like? I know he's a bit of a shorter guy. Like MSL short. Is he a fast shifty type guy? Gritty?

*Just watched a small youtube video of Yellow Horn. He scored a hatty in the game. Looked quick, but the tiny video could've been deceiving. He's got a great name though..."With a name like Yellow Horn, he has to be good!" He had a teammate with another cool name: Fast. Hope he lives up to the name.
