Default Yankees suck
Thought I'd start this thread so we haters can drown are sorrows with some grousing about the Evil Empire.

I have some ideas of why this is, but can't totally understand why people down here seem to hate the Sox more than the Yanks?

Believe me, up in the northeast, the Yankee fans are way more despicable...There is no comparison...

I think the Sox thing is a recent development. Once the Sox finally ended their curse their fans turned into ginormous snobs even compared to Yankees fans, who were humbled for quite a while due to their lack of postseason results.

Looks like the universe will be returning to normal soon however.

Fiancee is from New York and her father is a diehard Yankees fan. Five years of knowing them and my hate for the Yankees has dwindled and my hate for the Sox has increased.

That said, I'm a Cardinals fan and was able convert his daughter to a love of the Redbirds and all things Pujols
