I assure you, no it is not. Hopefully some positive news will come along so it quiets down.

Lil update from Bob McKenzie, including possible resolution:

Quote:
In terms of the longer-term reationship between Koules and Barrie, who are at odds, it is believed Koules and Barrie have a few weeks to sort out their differences and either find a way to work together or buy one or the other out.

In any case, the situation is expected to be resolved one way or another by mid July.

Thanks, this is exactly the way I feel.

Haven't seen this mentioned before:

Quote:
But if Barrie prevails, another source indicated he has interest in hiring former Molson Coors Brewing Co. chief executive officer Dan O’Neill to help him run the struggling franchise that finished 29th in the 30-team league last season.

When asked if O’Neill’s hiring is a possibility, Koules replied via e-mail yesterday: “Who knows?”

When he was with Molson, O’Neill was part of the Montreal Canadiens board of directors from 2002 to 2008, and also was a board member with the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Little update from Cristodero. Not a lot to report, apparently everyone's under a gag order, but he interviewed Tim Taylor & Espo for their $.02

Since it was a Romano rant that started all of this, might as well see Martin Fennely's take. Not very flattering, as you can imagine.

I'm sure I speak for many fans when I say that if OK guts the team, I hope the Forum becomes a mausoleum as an expression of the (former) fans' discontent.

There are no quick fixes. There has to be a PLAN.

I am watching NHL Live and Jay is on talking about the Bolts and he said that Barrie wants to keep VL4 even though he was the guy behind the Boyle trade, and the by implication OK is they guy who may want to trade VL4. He also believes that the Bolts will take Hedman, although if Tavares is there they may trade to the Leafs.

From DC's chat in response to a payroll question:
Quote:
I've been told Len would rather see a payroll in the $48 million to $50 million range, but that Oren is more conservative. Here's something to watch. When the salary cap and floor are announced, find the midpoint between the two. Go above it and you do not qualify for some revenue sharing. Stay below and you are eligible for all its forms. In fact, the Lightning is supposed to get, I was told, about $14 million in revenue sharing from last season. A nice bump for a team losing money.
Well, that'll help.

Hey CTLightning, You've been quoted off the blog "Raw Charge" Just thought I'd let you know - http://www.rawcharge.com/

Nothing really new, although Damien Cristodero's chat just wrapped up. Good information there.

I would hope the same but judging from this town's history, it will become Verizon Center-Joe Louis-(insert visiting team arena) South.
