Default Hall of Fame voting this week

Andreychuk is first year eligible this week in Hall of Fame voting.

Quote:
The easy decisions are for three of the four openings in the players category. Steve Yzerman, Brett Hull and Brian Leetch are clearly shoo-ins and make this year’s class one of the most memorable in decades. All three are first-time eligible this year and the debate among the 18 selection committee members won’t be long or spirited.

The fourth opening is the one that will spark plenty of dialogue. The other first-time candidates (retired three years from hockey) are Luc Robitaille, Alexander Mogilny and Dave Andreychuk.
Many Hall of Fame candidates makes for tough choice

So what's your opinion? Please explain why also in a post.

Tough call but I also think Luc get the vote this season. I feel Andy deserves it and hope someday he will make it.

I also think Luc will make it, he's almost as much of a shoe-in as the top 3.

The knock against Dave (and there are a lot of vocal people who don't want to see him get in ever) is that he wasn't 1st or 2nd All Star team and didn't win any individual awards, and most of his #s were due to his longevity. I don't agree, but those are the criticisms.

While I love Mogilny, I'm not sure he'll get in. He has more of a chance due to his background & story than his #s. Was just reading an article about him the other day, think he lives in Miami now. He should get in just for his quotes.

Yeah I'm with you on Lucky Luc getting it. Hopefully Dave gets in soon though.

I think he'll get in someday, but Robataille is in this year for sure.

Luc this year, Andreychuk sometime down the road, Mogilny probably not.

I had completely forgotten Mogilny has a ring. (2000 Devils)

Nice article about Andy, granted it's by a writer in his hometown but he makes some good points.
