Which is not surprising at all.

Love the kid, but he just doesn't have all the tools.

Well, its between Jung and McKenna.
In my mind, you let McKenna try to get an AHL job somewhere else and if he doesn't and you decide not to sign Jung you can sign him as insurance and shuttle him and the other guys back and forth from the ECHL.

I still hope they sign Jung and let him go back to Edmonton for an overage year of junior.

Coldrice and Donnie D made it sound like Lawton was saying that Fadden was it.

Good news, and proves once again you can't close a book on a prospect signing until the last possible moment.

I wouldn't read anything by the short answer in regard to the others. I would read that Lawton wasn't giving his full attention to the questioner and had other things he wanted to get to - unfortunately.

http://thepipelineshow.blogspot.com/...-draftees.html

Fadden one of the top-5 unsigned CHLers.

The comments about him are not alarming. This has been the book on him. Even in the playoffs this year when he was putting up big points, there were some fan blogs saying he's really not a leader - hence he couldn't will them to a victory despite the many Ams injuries.

And yes, I'll take PK Subban with a high pick. Thank you, Montreal. (he'll be signed, though).

Jung mentioned as a ... well ... honorable mention.

Re: Tyrell - http://www.boltprospects.com/content...e-tyrell-track

He'll be ready by mid-summer and was ahead of schedule on rehab. But yes, it will take him at least 20 games to get back to full speed, if not more. I think you could see him in TB by the end of next year.

Good point Sir. We were talking about about the draft (Duchene) which was my segway into asking him Tim's question. Since Donnie asked him first, I guess he wanted to reassure me that at least Fadden got signed and move on to the next portion of our conversation, which was right back to Duchene.

Guess we'll find out soon.

Default Norfolk for Fadden

Fadden needs to spend all of next season in Norfolk. He has very good skills. But from everything I've read, he has some defensive shortcomings and needs to learn how to get his nose dirty along the boards.

So a season with Rumble will certainly help address those shortcomings. He'll play hard for 60 minutes, with heart and physical. If not he'll be watching the game from the bench or in the pressbox. You are accountable with Rumble. And that's a good thing.
