The CBC feed just had Gary Bettman on, and they were asking him about the decision to suspend Datsyuk and Lidstrom for missing the event.

Got pretty heated.

Please explain.

Marty ties it at 10 with Souray shielding his own goalie. The Luongominiums were of no help.

As probably most of you are doing, as well, I was only half paying attention and didn't realize they were interviewing Bettman until almost the end. Basically Bettman was explaining the rationale behind the move, which does make sense, but the CBC guy (don't remember who) kept pushing as to why the player is punished, and why not the team? Bettman started getting audibly upset over the questioning and at one point said that it doesn't need to be talked about anymore.

Is it wrong of me for hoping Vinny does not score here at the end to win the game? God knows how many ways that would be misconstrued.
