I'm not saying Stralman is a bottom quartile defenseman, but there were a lot of outside factors which influenced his high Corsi #'s.
What you're saying is you're concerned that he didn't attempt many shots while he was on the ice last season, even though during this time the Rangers did much better at generating attempts than when he was off the ice. If you're Jon Cooper, do you really care if Stralman isn't attempting many shots if having him on the ice means his linemates -- particularly the forwards -- are going to have more cracks at the net than they would without him?
