This needs to stop, some of us want to sleep.

Decent return imo, and shipping a good guy off to a good situation. Plus still more cap space, which makes me excited about what we're planning for Tuesday.

Default Wow

Yzerman, certainly has a good idea of what he's raising $ for and much confidence in the Dump Truck to anchor the 4th line.

Geez I mention in the free agency thread that I could see Thompson and Crombeen shipped out with Purcell but I didn't think it'd really happen. This return is a lot more to my liking. Going to miss Thompson though.

Didn't Nate wear an A on his sweater? I guess that will go to Cally now.

Teams can only talk parameters (nudge, nudge) during free agent interview window (wink, wink), but @TBLightning must know somebody's coming.
Kinda says it all to me.

So basically we got rid of our whole 4th line? Crombeen-Thompson-Malone. They were underwhelming and way too costly so good moves.

Who wants to bet Yzerman is going to be juggling three phones as soon as the UFA derby starts? Now that we've got this much cap space, I'm feeling good about adding either Niskanen, Stralman, Ehrhoff or at least trading for Boychuk.

I'm down with all of these moves tonight because we have so many young players who need spots. On defense I feel like Barberio and Sustr can fight for the No. 7 spot, and I won't be surprised if we carry 8 anyhow. On offense, I can't help but feel like we are going to need a gritty minimum-wage veteran on the fourth line (Shawn Thornton?) because there's no way I'm putting Connolly or Kucherov (whoever loses the third-line gig) down there.

Filppula-Stamkos-Callahan
Palat-Johnson-Killorn
Brown-Drouin-Kucherov/Connolly
UFA-Paquette-Panik

Hedman-UFA
Carle-Garrison
Brewer-Gudas
Sustr
Barberio

Maybe SFY is trying to set up 4,fast lines looking towards the playoffs, where that 4 the line is so important. Drouin Connolly Kucherov would be one great line with Brown Paquette Panik getting good minutes and being fast and tough to play against. What a night so far. Wow what is next!?
