Seth Jones with the play to setup TJohnny's snapper to win it. Great play from Seth. Nice release and perfect height on the shot to beat a screened(Craig Smith) Berra.

Default Drouin will have nothing to do with soph slumping

except that he may be so spectacular to make TJ and AK look like they are slacking. I think Palat is more of a rocket ship ready to take off even more and Panik will catch up and stay hooked up. No way I am anything but 3/4 full. I am not a real AK fan from anything I have seen on NHL ice, kinda marginal 3rd line. Make room for younger than those two who seem to have more upside. I'd love to see TJ play well enough in front of Laviolette and Housley to merit consideration for us getting Ellis. TJ has speed to burn is the thing hardest to give up, but I don't see anything that is not easily replaced in AK.

Here is hoping TJ and the U.S. take the worlds by storm!!!

That's not really what you said though. You seemed to indicate the overall team expectations need to be lowered because of sophomore slumps. Not so, IMO, because the offense will be even better with a wizard like Drouin out there. My main concern is that Bishop won't have another franchise-best season in net, so Yzerman better get an improved defense in front of Ben.

The offense, though? Pssh. Add Drouin PLUS a healthy Stamkos in beast mode all season? Watch out... PLUS, what if Panik or Connolly or Namesy or Kucherov come in and start to play to THEIR potential(s)? Point is, the offense should be fine, and Killorn and Johnson contribute to this team in other ways beside points, anyway. They aren't 1 dimensional wonders.

Vasilevskiy stopped 39/40 today to help Russia crush TJ and Team USA 6-1 today. The Russians were outshot 40-23, but Vasya is the truth.

My goodness, 6 goals on 23 shots, who was in net for the US?

US over Finland insuring their spot in the quarterfinals and finishing 3points ahead of where the Finnish players finished. =p

TJ with two goals, the GWG and the ENG to ice it.
