Damian Cristodero ‏@LightningTimes
Appears scratches tonight vs. Sabres are Aulie, Barberio, Pyatt, Panik, Cunuk

Not sure what would autocorrect to "Cunuk", must be a straight up old fashioned typo (assuming Kunyk).

Really wish we were starting Lindback for this one. Bishop needs the rest.

There seems to be the suggestion from the beat writers that he's starting tomorrow. I'd rather see him today, personally.

Secure the more winnable points. I'm fine with this.

We've had Detroit's number this season, as weird as it seems I'm more confident about that game than this one.

Yeah, but you can also say that tonight would be the easier start for Lindy & Bish would be more needed tomorrow.

IIRC however (and I'm working today so my brain is mush) the last time we started Lindy in an "easy win" game he was terribad.

That's true. We seem to match up well with them. Who knows..

Default Lindback was a Pred nightmare vs the Red horde

especially at home in net. I cannot reiterate how little love Lindback ever generated from a pretty easy to please Nashville crowd. I guess I'd rather have Lindback vs Wings, but it is a tough call. Sabres really sucked Th night here in Nashville. Probably means they were saving up to kick ice tonight. We do need 2 points since le habs are hot.

Bish needs to have his stick ready for Conacher swooping in and taking him out again. If we don't coast then we should win with style. Hard to not take a break this time of the year.

I like the standard philosophy in back-to-backs of playing your starter in the game with the more readily expected win, to get the points you "should" get for sure. Then hopefully springboard off that win to another vs. the better club

BTW I've never liked the idea of making them play a day game immediately after a night game, esp. on the road. Next CBA should nix that IMO...Sunday matinees can follow Saturday matinees
