All defenders(aside from Hedman who was injured) had at least 20 minutes of ice time, Carle had the most with 25:29.

Pyatt led all forwards in icetime with 18:33.

Found those stats very interesting.

We're screwed if Hedman is out for any amount of time, and I don't like Vinny getting nicked again. The way I interpret Yzerman calling up Connolly, in particular, is that the Lightning are pulling out all the stops to try to sneak in and steal the division crown, which I like. It ain't happening, though, without a healthy Hedman. I'm really, really, really concerned about that injury.

Agreed with the concern. He's a big minutes eater.

Default Hedman

Yeah let's hope it is not serious, we need Hedman he is really starting to turn into a force on the ice. He is a very important part of this team.

He's turning out to be very delicate for a 6 foot 6 inch dman... we need him to be an ass kicker.

Hedman is a lot more of a force now than ever under Cooper's wing. And i predicted it. Who would be the next guy up? Brewer? Carle? I don't think so. I am praying until Hedman's injury comes back as not serious.

Maybe a dumb question but, with his possible injury, could we possibly see a Barberio call up?

I think the worst line of the night was Tyrell/Crombeen/Johnson and they weren't that terrible.

5 goals and 4 posts. Damn right.

Anyone else notice Coop congratulated Bishop in his crease with the rest of the players?

What a helluva start for Bishop. Definitely concerned about the Hedman injury. I didn't see what play he got injured on. I liked the hustle and intensity from both Purcell and Carle tonight, two guys who've been disappointing me all season (in spite of Purcell's pristine stats). Bishop looked like a number 1 tonight. We can't let players like Jeff Skinner get so many quality chances on him though or he won't look like a #1 for long.

So that's what a big goalie playing like a big goalie is supposed to look like!

Notice from the Sports Club Stats website -- the chances of the Lightning making the playoffs are almost exclusively tied to the Southeast Division race. Florida's totally out of it, so with only three other teams in the contest, the fates of WAS, WIN, and CAR are just as intertwined with the Lightning's chances as the Bolts' own play.
