Watched one about 2 weeks ago that had so many anomalous returns and vein weirdness that I was thinking to myself holy crap don't wish this on Vasi.
Well, this is a little different. Until now, the only thing said about Vasi was he had a blood clot removed from his clavicle area. Which BONES got removed?

His top left rib. From what I read back when they did the surgery, it's fairly common for that rib to be removed to prevent future blood clots from forming between the rib and collarbone.

Default Vasi for sure lost his first rib

don't think they delved into the sternum or clavicle which can also be targets. Pretty sure he had venous TOS because he went on anticoags.

I suspect he starts against Carolina. That seems to me to be the logical place to put him back in.

That was the plan they mentioned before they sent him down.

Vasilevskiy on his way, and will play more

Quote:
"You just don't sit here and say Bish is going to play 60 plus games and and Vasy is only going to play 10 of them," Cooper said. "The whole point of this is to have a one-two tandem and in a perfect world a 1 and 1A tandem. Vasy needs games. Part of this is that he's an NHL caliber goaltender. He's going to be a really, really good one. But he needs games to play.

"Other part is Bish, he has played a lot in the last two years, so there's nothing wrong with evening this out a little bit and giving Bishop a rest. He's proven over time he can handle the load, as you just saw in the playoffs and at the start of the year. But you don't want to put him in a position to where he's going to wear down."
