Default Lightning sign Tyler Johnson to a seven-year contract worth $5 million AAV.

I don't know how to feel about this.

Too much money too long of term. 3 years too long and about 1 million too much. But any debate of who will be our 2nd line center ifor the next 7 yrs has been answered and it isn't Point.

Agreed. Was hoping 4 with 5 at most after SY long term deal speech. Although I guess a lot of these long term deals might depend on the next CBA as well. Was also hoping 4.5 at most. Wonder what OP does.

Price is right. He had a cap hit 16-17 for 3.333 mil but his salary for 16-17 was 4 mil. So you don't want to give him a raise?

Agreed, but I hope he returns to form next year, or this will look awful very quickly.
