My hope is that Sergachev is the real deal, that Koekkoek gets meaningful time, and that Girardi, Killorn, Callahan, Coburn and Sustr get the appropriate amount of ice time (minimal in all cases, unless Killorn is playing one of his 30 good games per reg season).

It would be awesome if Callahan doesn't suck out loud like he did last season. 6M is too much for blocking shots and "leadership".

My fear is that like last year, we are going to be seeing way too much of the veterans that aren't earning their ice while our young players development gets stalled. BUT, hope springs eternal. Go Bolts
6 mil may be Cally, but you better add in Girardi and Kunitz to that price.

HAHAHAHAHA, so we gave up all that stuff for the expansion draft, and then the two guys we protected to do so are scratched for the first game of the year. We are seriously going to skate Dan Girardi as a top 2 dman.

Well, when Girardi draws in on the 1st pair defense... it make me think it's going to be a long night... I hope I am wrong but...

Better yet...what is it going to take for him to get out of it, or is this another Drouin situation where Cooper gets his panties in a bunch?

My hope is that Hedman's mobility helps limit Girardi's weaknesses, which are mobility and skill and being a pylon.

Stralman's stability should also allow Sergachev to run free a little bit too. I like that combo.

If the Palat-Point-Gourde line (which needs to be sponsored by PPG paints) can give the team some solid secondary scoring, and I believe it can, then they'll be dangerous. Johnson playing with Killorn and Callahan seems like a waste of Johnson's talent, but being honest, Point deserves to be the 2C based on his play last year. Johnson is just good insurance for the time being. I'm hoping he proves me wrong.

I'm pumped for the season to start!
