Default Mocks

mynhldraft.com - JAN 25

They still have us with Doughty at 2. Boychuck up to 10. Beach at 3.

With LA taking Hickey at 4 last year, that will deter them from helping us out and passing on Stamkos this year (assuming we're picking at 2). They still have Jack Johnson to build on too. If it's between us two, there's no way we get Stamkos.

As a King's fan, I don't see them passing up on Stamkos... if he is still available.

I would be quite surprised if the Bolts pick another defensemen with their first round draft pick.

Using the BPA philosophy, who would you pick Doughty, Beach or someone else not named Stamkos?

Default Picks in 08?

Right now we do not have a second or fourth round pick, right?
I believe we have a second sixth-round pick from the Stewart-Alexeev trade as well.
For some reason I thought we had acquired a No. 4 from somewhere. Anyone have info on that?

The Alexeev pick (a 6th) was in 07.

I think we're just missing a 2nd, but I'm not positive.

Default picks

The website i looked at (and it could be wrong) had the Alexeev trade for a 08 pick.
It also had the fourth-round pick going to L.A. for Munce
I dunno.

Hmmmm....

I checked Forecaster (Toronto Star's database) on Alexeev and it said 07, but it could be a mistake. I did a short google search and oddly some said 08 and others (including Sportsnet and TSN) said 07.

sure does.
He's had about 20 decent games out of 50
Anyways
Maybe Damien or Erik can find out for sure.
If you look at the sixth round of last year's draft, it appears we only had our own pick (Harju)
I also forgot about the draft day deal, which sent a fourth or fifth round pick (there seems to be some dispute there, too) in 2008 to Ottawa for their fifth in 07 (Marshall) and two sevens (Jung, Courtnall) in 07

It might be that we only have a 1, a 3, a 5, two 6s and a 7 (or no 5)
