Vrbata must be the topic of all those comments from Tocc in the last week about getting a message through or else.

Has there been a softer player on the Lightning since, oh Cory Cross?

Vrbata has to be the disappointment of the year to date.

By the way, what is the size of Smolenak? The BP Media guide has him at 203, the press release from the Lightning has him at 183. For a guy 6 3, 183 seems pretty light.

Well... there you go. Good for them.

I didn't think Tocchet would throw Downie, Szczechura, and Smolenak all out in the same game. But, hey, what do I know?

Will be interesting to see what the line combos will be...

Consider this my little plug for Chewy and Smoke to get real numbers tonight. Not 38 and 52.

(are there more important things to be concerned about? Absolutely.)

Per EE, here’s how the lines will look to start the game

Malone - Lecavalier - St. Louis
Prospal - Stamkos - Jokinen
Downie - Szczechura - Recchi
Smolenak - Hall - Artyukhin

I vote for the 4th line to be named the Rock'em Sock'em Line.

I don't think we'll see much more of Ryan Craig at this level. Hope he proves otherwise.

Is it me or is Adam Hall the second coming of Jason Ward? That's not actually meant as a knock on the guy.

You definitely got a point. But, the organization thus far has been relunctant to throw a bunch of kids out on the ice, and clearly that was weighing on my logic process.

But, hey, I agree... going vet-heavy has us ranked 30th in the league at Dec 1. Time to do something different.
