Can explain it one way only: large amounts of alcohol were probably involved in both.

Rosehill's was a prank gone bad. There were playing the prank on what they thought was an airhead bimbo. Didn't work out that way.

Charges against Kostopoulos have been dropped per ESPN after he wrote a letter of apology to the officer.

This is true, it was reported in the local media here. He also does a lot off community service and said he would continue to do so.

And for the record he would had been eligible for a diversion program anyway. In the program you write a letter, just like he did, and you may be given 50 hours of community service to do. Once that happens and you complete your tasks the case is removed from the docket and you have no record of a conviction. However if you mess up again within one year the charges can be placed back on the docket.
