I'll be sporting Bolts gear at Maxwells, in Park City Utah. Lots of NHL fans here, and it'll be interesting to see if any Tampons show up.
Can't wait to see the new guys!!

btw, their local rink is looking for a GM. Sal range 50-75.

According to EE it is official, Drouin is scratched for this game.

This also explains the moves that they did today with the call ups.

I also have to admit that I am not a fan of rotating the "A". We have some very good quality leadership on this team. Why even create a scenario that could possibly lead to a unhappy player. Hand the two "A's" out and move on.

We have so many that are qualified that can wear the "A". Why rotate it. By now they know who they should give it to.

My 2 choices are Hedman and Callahan.

You get it, but then you don't. Yes, they have many qualified candidates. But, no, they don't know who to give it to yet -- as Cooper said, they want to take the time, perhaps after the 5 game Western road trip, before naming the permanents. Presumably to see who emerges as the real leaders on the ice and in the room.

If they knew who they wanted to have it, they would award them permanently now. I don't get why you think there's some conspiracy by the coaching staff to not name permanent. Perhaps the head coach, the assistants, and the captain have different ideas of the *many* candidates and they decided to play some games and see if they arrive at a consensus? Why does this have to be something more *newsworthy* and *dramatic* than it really is. I suspect the infection of 24 hour news channels into the way we perceive the world around us.

No conspiracy Tim. One would think after a camp and the outings they have had they would know by now. That's all.

Except Cooper said he didn't know. Is he lying? And if so, to what end?

One would think Callahan is a slam dunk, but you wait and name both at the same time. My guess is Cooper might be thinking Strahlman for the other A, but wants time for the new guy to gel with the team. Let's keep an eye to see if he wears one of the rotating A's during the next 8-10 games.

Is he lying? I would hope not, not in his character. I would had hoped he would had known by now with camp closing and after a few player outings.

I am sure Strahlman will get one of the rotating "A's". But with Callahan getting one I would hope they turn to youth. We have several past captains on this team that are real leaders, but the future is here now. I would give the other to Hedman.

For those going to the game tonight, or future games here is a food update.

On the west side lower level you now have a PDQ. Holy Hogs has a second spot also on the lower level.
