The Wall StreetvJournal is reporting that a Republican senator said he was told by an American diplomat in August that the release of U.S. aid to Ukraine was contingent on an investigation desired by President Trump and his allies, but Mr. Trump denied pursuing any such proposal when the lawmaker pressed him on it.

Sen. Ron Johnson said that Gordon Sondland, the U.S. ambassador to the European Union, had described to him a quid pro quo involving a commitment by Kyiv to probe matters related to U.S. elections and $400 million in arms sales.

Are the rats starting to jump?

Susan Rice was spot on when she said Trump basically "exposed himself" to he Chinese yesterday, and that they would certainly find some scrap of Bidensludge to offer to the grabber, in return for tariff negotiations. Just like the Kimster knows, Trump is a fiddle waiting to be played.

As if it needed a further kick in the balls...I sold various steel products in Tampa and, even though it was a German company, we got killed on price by China, NK and the Czechs. Nucor was the only successful US steel company, and it was solely due to super-efficient production and minimal workforce.

"In return for tariff negotiations..."

For soybean farmers, factory workers, and any white collar professional who cares about their 401k, I'm telling you that's game, set, and match. It's the killer app that ends Trump's presidency. Other than his most ardent dead enders, no one is going to support harming the economy to try to extort a foreign power for personal political gain.

Do you really think they care? They would follow Trump to the pits of hell to keep a libtard out of office.

For the 24% of the country that thinks Trump's farts smell like cinnamon, you're right. Nothing will sway them. The other 76% are get-able. This is how you convince them.

What a day (yet again)

NBC: Weeks before the whistleblower's complaint became public, the CIA's top lawyer made what she considered to be a criminal referral to the Justice Department about the whistleblower's allegations that President Donald Trump abused his office in pressuring the Ukrainian president, U.S. officials familiar with the matter tell NBC News.

The move by the CIA's general counsel, Trump appointee Courtney Simmons Elwood, meant she and other senior officials had concluded a potential crime had been committed, raising more questions about why the Justice Department later declined to open an investigation.

NY Times: Rich Delmar, the Treasury’s acting inspector general, said Neal had asked his office “to inquire into the process by which the department received, evaluated, and responded to the committee’s request for federal tax information. We are undertaking that inquiry.” The probe comes shortly after news that a separate whistle-blower complaint, filed in July, detailed concerns by a career IRS official who alleged that political appointees at the Treasury “tried to exert influence over the mandatory audit of President Trump’s tax returns...improperly involving themselves in the audit and putting pressure of some kind on senior officials in the IRS.

The Justice Department joined the fight against a state subpoena from New York District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. seeking eight years of Trump’s tax returns from his longtime accounting firm, as part of an investigation into allegations that the Trump Organization falsified business records related to the Stormy Daniels hush-money payments. In that case, Trump’s lawyers have argued that it’s illegal to investigate a sitting president for any crimes he may have committed.

CNN: Anthony Scaramucci, longtime former friend and short-time White House communications director for Donald Trump, called his former boss a “traitor to the U.S.” who is struggling mightily to “gaslight” America.

“The American president is a traitor to the United States” for inviting foreign governments to meddle in U.S. politics, Scaramucci said Friday on CNN.

CNN: Secretary Pompeo has failed to meet the deadline to produce documents required by the subpoena
