The secondary scoring has woken up -- the Callahan/Paquette combo in particular. That is bad, bad news for the Blackhawks.

Remember some of the open-net puck luck the Bolts had in the first period. Remember that Kyle Cumiskey is the hockey gods' answer to Matt Carle (albeit with less minutes). Remember the fact that the Bolts actually beat out the Rule of Espo tonight. Special things are happening.

Per SportsNet, following a split of Game 1 and Game 2, the winner of Game 3 has won the Cup 21 of 26 times (80.8%) since 1939.

Mathematically, based on even odds, the Bolts have an 11/16 (68.75%) chance of winning the Cup.

And Stamkos seems to be mere inches, millimeters, away.

Chicago just got their asses kicked by a one-legged goaltender. How awesome is that?

So many times in this game I thought it just wasn't our night ...

1. Bishop laboring, clearly not looking his best
2. Bishop blowing a barely screened glove save with another one of his botched baseball catches
3. Blowing the 5-3 ... I thought that would put a charge into the Hawks and be one of those death-sentence moments we'd all look back on at the end of the night
4. Bishop getting run and hit in the head
5. General officiating fuckery (love that word!) like calling us for tripping Oduya way behind the play but not calling a stick-trip that sent Tyler Johnson into the boards
6. JT Brown's post
7. Stammer's crossbar

But these Bolts have the heart of a champion. How else can anyone explain what Ben Bishop is doing? Or the way the Triplets answer a crushing third-period goal by tying the game 13 seconds later and sucking the life out of an entire arena that had gone berserk?

What a game. What a series. What a playoffs. What a team.

Just got done watching on DVR.

Crazy resiliency displayed tonight. If the Hawks fans didn't think much of the Bolts before the series, they are learning a thing or two right about now.

Zo, interesting thing about that stat. Tampa in 2004 and Chicago in 2013 are among those 5 teams bucked that trend.

Cooper is a f'n magician. Period.
When I said 2+ years ago, when we decided the editorial position of the website would be to lobby for Cooper to be made the coach after Boucher's dismissal, that Cooper is special I meant it. Anyone who ever saw how he developed that team in Norfolk/Syracuse knew it. He's special.

Before Game Two, the players got some very Raiders-looking black shirts that say that. I might desperately want one. I adore this team/franchise embracing the renegade persona. Spitting champagne in the face of disrespect is fun.

Oh yes, please. Just say 'no' to Carle. Make it stop.

I LOL'ed. How did he deliver that with a straight face? Bishop does get up slow sometimes, but not like that. It was obvious to everybody.

If you look up 'obvious' in the dictionary, this is given as a usage example.

I question his nonchalance all the time, but I can't argue with the results. He puts the game in the players' hands (and minds). If they can't get it done the have only themselves to blame.
