I don't think Stamkos will go that route, but that's the only realistic leverage point his agent has left. I think Stamkos is smarter than that.

At this point, I think everyone is just waiting to see what everyone else gets. After the 2 semi comparable arbitration hearings announce their results, perhaps then we see some movement.

Yzerman's MO of not messing-around and wasting time has got to reduce some of the leverage a player and his agent have. You take what SFY offers right now, or you need to find somewhere else to ply your trade, 'cause SFY is moving-on*.

But he'll even move on if Stamkos sits out. St. Petersburg SKA decided not exercise their Club option on Alexei Yashin. We all know who likes Russians...

Publicly he didn't say he hated it, he said there were definite challenges. Privately Vinny said it was horrible and never again.
