Double oops, wtf

They got way too much of a lift from that first one, I was hoping we could hold the fort for the rest of the period, guess not.

Sigh. One step forward, two steps back.

Offense looks much better, they still get exposed the second the opposing team gets ANY kind of pressure going in the zone.

Meszaros with a couple solid shots on the last power play and Jokinen hits the crossbar off a rebound from one of them, argh.. Looked a lot better than the game of catch the first unit was playing..

Puck is bouncing like a basketball out there. Annoying.

Prospal nearly hooked up with Vrbata for the lead. Damn!

Ward makes a huge save on Marty without even knowing where the puck was..

#$!%!% couldn't cash on in on the 2 on 1..

Hmm, not sure if either of these goalies are any good at the shootout. Lots of great chances in OT.

Lose the shootout on Jokinen hitting the post again. That kind of night for us despite dominating the 3rd and OT. Lame.

I'd almost rather have Recchi out there to start the SO...at least he'd SHOOT the puck!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(note the Chief also mentioning the fact that Ruutu and B'Amour SHOT the puck...geezzzz)

Canes did only have one shot in the third, but Bolts not even getting a shot in the 4-3 is unforgiveable...even the passes were WEAK....

However, much better effort overall. Two clangers and other good chances in regulation.

I don't know if I've ever seen a goalie less-confident right now than Smith in shootouts. That's just brutal. He looks completely lost.

It may be time to sub in Kolzig as a the SO specialist.

Or time to pull him and Jokinen aside for some extra time after practice.
