Maybe, but odds are your best guys just scored the goal.

"best guys" after a goal are not necessarily the guys that scored the goal! The are often the guys that give the team either the most energy or best possession stats.

You might not have noticed him because he didn't play much until garbage time?

I don't know where you find the shift breakouts, but I know he played a fair amount at the beginning of the first until a bad pinch resulted in a 3-1 the other way. Then I didn't notice him again until the game was already put away early in the third, and he had a number of shifts in garbage time. Not sure if he got much time in the second.

That's what I noticed, so I could be totally off, as I said, I don't know where to find the shift breakdowns.

IMO, he didn't look great in the first, but wasn't his normal trash fire self in the third. So that's something.

Don't disagree, but I'm going to be hearing the 1st period Stamkos clang off the crossbar in my nightmares for the rest of my life.

They're 19th in the league in defensive zone faceoffs at 50.5%. 23rd in offensive zone faceoffs at 46.4%.

I think the Lightning are hoping Cirelli and Point grow into real faceoff aces in time, but I'd love to get an established vet with a reputation of winning a ton of faceoffs in the interim.

Winnipeg's got two centers in the top-20 at their position at faceoffs, btw (Perrault and Little).

Sorry you feel like some of us are "whipping" 62. I just call 'em like I see em, and I've said PLENTY of good things about this team this year..( And put my hard cash where my mouth is)

I looked it up And there was a reason why you didn't see Sustr that much during the game. He only had two shifts in the second. And three in the third so you he wasn't on the ice that often

OK..But all I'm saying is that I saw him out there TWICE after the Bolts had scored..So, is that just "bad luck/coincidence", or...?? And as I said, I thought the Stars completely dominated those two shifts..and these are important shifts after a goal is scored. And in both cases, I saw weak puck and body play, which unfortunately I think is 62 whenever he is out there.

I'm thrilled they are 15-2-2. I watch as much as I can, and as I've said before, I've put $$ on them winning the Cup.
