Paquette, in French, said TBL abandoned matchups: "I think Jon told himself, 'f--- it, we’ve got four lines that can play against anybody."'

Kyle Cumiskey is being made out as the goat on the Cedric Paquette game-winner, but as the play develops, check out Patrick Sharp instead.

What an awful sequence by Sharp. First, he charges toward Callahan with the puck along the Lightning blue line, and nearly gets run over by Paquette in the process. Sharp has to stop quickly, completely losing the guy coming up behind him that he should have been covering -- some schmuck named Hedman. That creates a 3-on-2. After that, Sharp actually had plenty of time to get back into the play and take Paquette out. Instead, he glides through the defensive zone, and ends up with a front-row ticket to watch Paquette slam the puck into the net.

I believe in fate and pre-destination, and this team has it. It has continued to defy the odds and the talking heads, every time it seems like this is it, this is when the youth shows and we come back down to earth, they rise up and make us all believers again. We were 6 minutes away from being one and done in Detroit until TJ stepped up with 2 goals to win it, I consider that the turning point of the playoffs. We can never count out the intestinal fortitude of this team, and am looking forward to Wednesday. Even if we fall short, I still love our chances in a best 2 of 3. It's fate, people, that we will win, just sit back and enjoy the ride!

We guffawed aloud at that...all six fans were so nice and quiet while the guys were talking. And they have the nads to say WE have a problem supporting hockey LOL

We got lucky as hell on about a dozen different occasions, plus Bishop stood "tall" ha ha ha. Did you hear Cooper laugh a little when he said it? It sounded goofy even to him.

The GMs need to vote to make a rule that any deliberate targeting of the head of a goaltender is an automatic match penalty for intent to injure. Reaching all the way across your body to make sure you deliver a solid left to the goalie's jaw, along with a right, is not any sort of hockey play and ought to get more than the two minutes you get for a line change that's off by one second or flipping the puck a little too high. Just sayin'.

From Here It's Clear:

If Bishop can maintain, we will find a way to skate the Cup. If he can't, we might.

I'm so proud of this team. I was pondering whether we'd do well in the playoffs all season, and while we've had a few hiccups, like against Detroit, we've turned /it/ on when the games counted. We need two more and I believe we can get them.

On another note, I got challenged about how long I've been a fan by a guy in a bar last night. I proceeded to point to the stripes underneath the arm of my sweater and explained if he didn't know what these were(he didnt), and when you should see'em, he should question his own fandom.

Ooh, fireworks.

There may be a few hockey fans in Tampa.

I went to the watch party at Curtis Hixon last night, what craziness. What was really fun is they played our goal horn & goal song & shot off red flares after our goals, like a home game. It unfortunately POURED during the 2nd intermission & at least half the crowd left, but those that stayed had a great time. They also lost their satellite transmission late in the game, so we were all listening to Mish when Palat scored, lol. They managed to get it going again in time for us to see the glorious ending, followed by a great fireworks show. A guy near us said "FANTASTIC" and it was, all of it.

My video of the fireworks

This team does us proud, once again.
