Default Didn't Deserve to Win

According to Milbury (a*^h&$#) the Lightning "Did not deserve to win that game" - what national announcer would say that????? They won! Those announcers act like the Lightning are some #8 seed team that is playing beyond their means - REALLY - this is the team that led the ENTIRE NHL for 3-4 months of the season. I cannot stand to listen to those guys - you would have thought someone had died with their responses after the game!

Isn't that what good teams do - find ways to win!

I really hope the world thinks that the Lightning did not deserve to win, because that is just going to compound the choke job psyche of the Caps who are already showing signs of frustration. They just squandered away home ice advantage through two games at home and have already had a very long postseason.

The only two that really applies to are McD and Miller. Callahan and Stralman have been here for years. Miller has not been a game changer.

They have to yammer on and on about it to keep NY fans watching.

I don't think I've listened to a pre-game or intermission report in a good long while.

They never have anything good to say about us, even the compliments are backhanded in most cases.

Donnie pointed this out a few games ago. It's hilarious.

Not only does Pierre do this regarding the ex-Rangers players, he does it with Kunitz too because he was dressing in the same room as Crosby for awhile.

The intermission crew spent time creating a highlight package for Kunitz lol. I like Kunitz, but you don't create highlight packages for a 4th line grinder...

So, have you ever seen off-ice officials call down and modify a simple penalty call before? Cooper said it right, they got the guy right but the penalty wrong. Also, Wilson is a big embellishing p*.

Diver of the game goes to Oshie. At least 4x he dove. Got the call once.

Are the Caps always this way or are they just so desperate to get a PP because they don't think they can score 5x5?

Wilson and Oshie embellish like crazy and on that Hedman slash against Connolly he acted at first like his hand had been chopped off then as soon as the ref's hand went up to call the penalty skated off like nothing had happened.

Interesting stat from scoutingtherefs.com regarding the refs for this game. This season, and prior to this game, we were 4-1 with Dwyer as a ref and Washington was 2-3.

With Rooney we were 6-0 and Washington was 2-3.

Maybe we can get them back for game 5

I'm shocked that nobody here has mentioned the NHL literally made up a protocol on the fly to screw over the Lightning on the first Oshie dive when they eventually threw Hedman in the box instead of Gourde. That's not a reviewable play, and if it were a reviewable play it should've been corrected to the dive it clearly was. Lest you all have any misconceptions who the league wants to win the series (it isn't Tampa Bay).
