No photo to share, but some information if you ever get around Port Huron, MI which is just north of Detroit and across the river from Sarnia, ONT.

The Great Lakes Pilot Association is a group of lake pilots that assist freighters through the lakes when a certified pilot is not on board. Each pilot works an 8 hour shift on board the freighter. Port Huron is one of the places where the exchange takes place. If you are ever here you can contact the Association and ask to ride along and touch a freighter. They will let you know when the next exchange will take place and they will take you out into Lake Huron for the transfer. It takes just over 2 hours. While the transfer is being made they have you step out and touch the freighter.

This was the second time I have done this and it is something that I will never forget.

I highly recommend this as a way to make a trip one you will never forget.

Feel free to contact me and I will provide you their number and the address they sail out of.

We had a massive storm roll through the capital last night (July 20, 2016). There are some really cool photos taken of the lightning that accompanied it, including the one below.

I miss hockey season.

You know my opinion on anthems at sporting events, but this is pretty cool!
