I like the Kings' guys too, they do their research & call the players something besides "the Lightning player". Both Kings & Ducks beat Tyson Nash doing color for Phoenix & mispronouncing Lecavalier's name at least 5 times despite the PBP guy saying it right!

I always liked John's play by play when here was here and I thought the color guy had some good insight on several plays and the 2 of them gave a good and balanced background on the Lightning players throughout the game.

I don't get CI so I haven't heard all of them, but they were the best of the away crews that I have heard this year.

I thought the color guy did a good job pointing out how ANA was taking advantage of TBL's defensive zone coverage scheme in which one of the defender's was playing the puck carrier aggressively to sideboard -- most notably Walker (and some of the other D's) -- and it was opening up a passing down low to the net for 2 on 1's around the cage.

My favorite from the Phoenix game was "Martin St. Looey"

Yup. Decent enough guy, and probably in the top-half of NHL announcers in my opinion.

That was the weakest "crosscheck" I've ever seen and even the Ducks guys were iffy on it, pointing out that Whitney was already leaning back.

Oh well.. they should have won it on the PP before it got to OT. Great comeback though.

Ahlers is a friend. Got to know him when we both lived out in SoCal. Great guy and a very good announcer.

Also, Ryan Malone, a day late, was given credit for the third-period goal Thursday that tied the game with Anaheim at 3-3 and sent it into overtime. It originally was credited to Marty St. Louis.
