I can't remember the source of this, but it was on a MSM news show (possibly a Planned Parenthood person) that said that the vast majority of abortions are conducted for and on women that already have one or more children. The idea that these women are "baby killers", regardless of the term of the pregnancy, is preposterous.

"Baby killing libruls! Save that precious angel!"

"Okay, it's been born. We may need a little help with healthcare, food and shelter, though."

"HA, fuck them. Always wanting handouts. Good luck, socialist. Bootstraps, you little infant freeloader."

One of many things that gives me hope is the hemorrhaging of younger Christians out of the evangelical/Republican party. Those who actually walk the walk and follow the words of Christ, not just use their holy book as a cudgel against those who disagree with them. My brother is one such person, and if you want to see righteous anger, ask them about how evangelicals treat the poor. He's against abortion, but he damn sure understands that being pro-life doesn't end at birth, and when you volunteer in poor areas you understand that it is difficult to pull yourself up by your bootstraps when there are no bootstraps to be had.

Just curious, where are the evangelical Christians going?
They are not able to support a democratic candidate who supports abortion so....

Based on nothing other than anecdotal evidence, the younger Christians leaving the evangelical wing of the faith aren't single issue voters. My brother has moved progressive over the last decade, but many of our relatives, and his friends, hadn't. I don't know if they are planning to vote for the Democratic candidate, third party, or none, but I know they aren't Trump supporters. In my family, the aunts and uncles are still solidly Trump, but all of their kids are now independents or Democrats. Their leaving the Republican party is a direct result of Trump.

Trump's support is around 80% + or - in the "Republican" party. I'm assuming that in a survey, party affiliation has already been established in some form or fashion. My question is, and this is somewhat linked to what danny mentions, what is the percentage of the electorate that now identifies as "Republican"?? I suspect it's declining somewhat in Trump's time in office. He has decidedly and recklessly moved away from ANYTHING that would increase his "base" Indeed, he is solidifying that 35-38% at the expense of the 60% or so that, as of right now, wouldn't vote for him--no matter the opposition candidate.

He and his minions seem completely tone deaf when they fail to realize the 2018 midterms were all about HIM.

Kind of sad that we've come to a point where the President can tell non-white women to go back to their home countries (assuming they can't be from America I guess) and it doesn't even register around here. I mean, "The President went full racist on twitter yesterday," and we kind of go "Oh yeah, guess it was Sunday."

Can’t imagine what Trump could do that would shock me into thinking any less of him. Irredeemable piece of shit. Mama Cass on a Big Mac, please.
