Artem Sergeev’s point streak rose to six games with an assist against the defending QMJHL champs. Saint John, who defeated Rouyn-Noranda on Wednesday night, fought back from 4-1 and 5-3 deficits to tie the game in the third period. Val-d’Or scored the game’s last two goals for the victory.

The Petes snapped their 5-game losing streak and Slater Koekkoek (pictured, Eric DuBose photo) set a new career high for assists in a season as Peterborough beat Belleville in a shootout, 4-3. Koekkoek’s second period assist gave him 17 for the year, one more than he accumulated in his rookie season.
