First game I get to attend this season. Not excited that it's against these guys though, yikes.

I dunno. Predators don’t scare me like they did a couple of years ago.
Right now, they are 1-2 on the road. But yes, quality squad that requires a strong, disciplined game.

Looks like McElhinney's starting tonight, which means we will play like trash in front of the poor guy.

I love watching Cirelli play, but he is killing our PK by never being able to win a faceoff. You can't have a center on your top pk unit losing so many draws and allowing the opposing PP to set up as often as we are. Cernak is having a lot of trouble on the PK too.

PK loses us another one. That and taking stupid penalties like too many men to begin with.

Defeat from the jaws of victory. In essence all three Pred goals were on the pp (though I think technically it had expired on the game winner). Two penalties for too many men on the ice including one in overtime? Coop needs to get control of his bench.

Best game of the year. The two games against Pittsburgh and Nashville show how far the team has come in playing the style the coaching staff has developed. You can see the team chipping the puck out of danger rather than hanging onto the puck and giving up dangerous chances.

Most of the team has bought in, but it appears that Kucherov hasn't. Point missing much of training camp seems to also have him behind the others. He tried to go 1 on 3 on the pp twice tonight.

I thought the first too many men was bogus, but I was at the game and didn’t see any replays. The second one seemed to be a pretty obvious penalty, but Cooper took exception to that one too since neither player was anywhere near the play. I’ve seen players hop out, realize that there are too many men and jump back on the bench without a call. I don’t know in those cases, the official missed it, or it’s not a penalty if they don’t play the puck. Cooper said that if the officials make the first one the standard, there will be 25 tmm penalties each game.

I know there are some critical of the record, but as we saw last year, playing the right way is more important than wins.
