Does Stammer rise to the occasion and drag this struggling team with him? We can only hope.

At least someone wants to show up. Not sure how we can pay Stamkos anything close to 10mil and still expect to pay Johnson and Palat the next year. They'll want 15 at this rate.

Sweet pass Stamkos. That guy is a complete moron, worst player by far.

Terrific period from the Lightning. Only blemish is we need to stay out of the box a bit more... particularly with the lead, time to play smart.

Or... dare I say.... <.< >.>....

time... for the 1-3-1??

Much easier to play with a lead. A lot of hockey left to play though. Focus and get the next one!

Well that was a different start!

Hedman and Kucherov look completely engaged. It's impressive.

Can't say much else about TJ. Sure, the Bolts are penetrating the Detroit defense better overall, but he is just about unstoppable.

Bolts are definitely playing a little more Babcock-style. Closer to the edge of the rules. The fans here are noticing and don't seem too pleased.

Oh, and what I said about the fans in Detroit being fairly smart? I'm behind the benches tonight and there is a heck of a lot of explaining basic hockey rules and strategies going on. So I stand slightly corrected.

Very sparse Lightning crowd. There may be 20 Bolts fans in the entire arena.
