In OT, the refs missed a slash by Boston that knocked the stick out of the hands of a Carolina player.

Then they call Skjei on an incredibly soft holding call late in OT.

Refs love them some Bruins.

There were 3 trips/holds before that as well that slash that were at least as bad as the Skjei penalty. Pretty sure there was a Too many men they let go for Boston as well.

Bruins win in 2OT. Patrice Bergeron. Mrazek overcommitted to Bergeron's side and he shot across the grain for the goal.

The Penguins have informed the Wild they are keeping their 15th overall pick in the fall draft, meaning Minnesota will get Pittsburgh’s 2021 first-round pick, which is unprotected. That will complete the Jason Zucker trade.
The Wild will get an unprotected first round pick from the Penguins for the 2021 draft. If you're on Team Chaos, root for the Penguins to flame out next season. Oh wait, you're probably rooting for them to fail by default already.

Brind'Amour: "The guy comes to me and says it's either goalie interference because he has it and the guy knocked it out of his hand or it's a glove hand pass, you gotta pick one. Either way it's a no goal. What? YOU have to tell me what the call is. He's telling me to pick one"

Brind'Amour: He comes to me and says pick one, I'm like, well it's one of the two. There's absolutely no way that can be a goal. He's putting it on me to pick it, well you tell me what you're calling. You're calling he had it? Then it's a fucking goalie interference."

Brind'Amour: If you're saying he didn't have it? You're not telling me what call you're making and I have to pick one? Then they go upstairs and say "Oh, he had possession"? It's horseshit. This is where the league is a joke."
Rod Brind'Amour spitting fire. He'll be fined for that, and I'm sure he decided it was worth it.

NEW YORK (Aug. 12, 2020) – Carolina Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind’Amour has been fined $25,000 for comments following Game 1 of the team’s First Round series against the Boston Bruins, the National Hockey League announced today. Additionally, Brind’Amour has been assessed a conditional fine of $25,000, which will be collected, in addition to any subsequent discipline, in the event of similar inappropriate behavior through Aug. 12, 2021.
That's the same double-secret-probation that Tortorella is on.

I have to assume Torts will wind up doing this during the playoffs:

"pikachufaced" I'm really enjoying the... evolution... of the 'shocked Pikachu face' meme.

Damn right. The more they get publicly called out on this nonsense the better.

I've not watched the non-TB games so this is the first I've heard the fake crowd noise. Ugh, terrible. Just leave it out. I've enjoyed the visual and aural serenity of not having live fans in the stands. The only situation the live fans seem to help with is calling out that a goal was scored, the refs by themselves seem slow to make the call compared to the live audience.
