That is all.

Pretty much this. There's not a single organization I hate more, in any sport. I put them right up there with Blackwater, Monsanto and Haliburton.

You mean Hedman, passing right to Giroux instead of to a wide-open Sustr cruising down the slot, leading to the Simmonds breakaway?

Right? Should've been a 5-on-3, with a major to Hartnell. Does it bear repeating that the fucking officiating in this league is a sick fucking joke? Oh, you did already. Thanx.

Yup, he wanted no part of Cote at all. Two gutless moves in a row, the first being the suspension hit to Hedman's...head. He'll get 3-5 games, a slap on the wrist far less severe than what Johnson endured with that slash. Instead say bye-bye to Hartnell for the rest of the season, fine his coach, GM and owner an aggregate of about a half million, and *poof!* watch the headhunting hits start to just mysteriously vanish overnight

Really. Just that cut & dried. Still hitting the ol' neg nog, eh? No credence to the famed Lightning resiliency after a huge rebound win on the road...wonder what they have to do. You're young yet man, have some faith!

You thinking what I'm thinking--he reads this board, Barlow? NINE (count 'em, 9) goals, and not one single LACER today???
_____________________________________________

Lindback had one of his signature excellent outings, as any inconsistent NHL netminder is bound to have on occasion, so big props to him. Despite some slow recoveries and moss-like movements in the crease, he hung tough and totally got the job done under a hailstorm of shots through a D more intent on having a fancy-pants passing contest than simply clearing the zone as suggested at the start of the thread. Winning a day game on the road in Philly, vs. the usual TWO sets of opponents in hideous black, white & orange, is always a delightful spectacle. They get soundly outshot, outchanced, outpassed, outhit, and outdone in the circles...and still double the pukes up on the scoreboard where it counts. Ha ha ha HA!!! As I said, this Flyers gang gives up more goals than it scores, today was no exception. Suck it, Philadelphia.

Edit to add: Malone totally called the final result during 2nd intermission, just the one EN goal scored by us...and did it himself! Kudos to Bugsy

Lindback came up with some key stops, yes, but he lucked out in the 1st period with several attempts that beat him clean dinging the iron and staying out and several other shots squeezing through him and getting cleared or trickling wide. He was better than Mason but Mason set a pretty low bar tonight.

Oh yeah no doubt. I didn't mean to say he did great, just... not bad. At least he was a backup and not a white flag.
