This issue might have explained the long night backup process that basically made the system non-responsive. That is in-line with the behavior seen when trying to sync the new drive.

I'm hoping this new chassis will make the nightly backup transparent from a performance and availability perspective. Feedback will be appreciated from those who typically have to deal with that.
