I had a soft spot for Paul Ysebart. I know one member of this board was a big fan of the now colourful NHL personality Mike Johnson.

lol! So did I! But more because for whatever reason it was on my '97 (maybe 96?) Super Nintendo I could just score like crazy with him... I double shifted the heck out of him!

Stamkos should already be on there. The dude has already put up more goals and points for this team than most of the guys on that list.

Most Lightning fans probably remember Ysebaert for his Pik-Kwik commercials, but I remember him for being one of our first credible acquisitions, which was a rarity back in 1994. I distinctly recall being happy that the Lightning had actually traded for someone I knew of. And we got him while he was still in his prime (not like the other ready-to-retire-or-go-to-the-minors types). The guy was as fragile as could be, but when he played he usually scored enough to be a decent top 6 forward. Hell, the guy was just about two years removed from his two best season — 75 and 62 points with Detroit. He was also a solid veteran leader. I definitely remember him playing an important role in our first magical playoff run in '96. He had one 40-point season after that and then pretty much called it a career.
