He moved back to wing recently with Peca and is putting points up again. He has been much more effective at wing than center. He is also dead last on the team among potential centers at faceoffs (Killorn, Cally, Conacher, and Palat are all behind him, but combined those 4 have less than 100 total faceoffs taken). Where did you read he preferred center?

Engblom has mentioned it several times on the telecasts. Both how much happier he is and his production.

If Peca can keep this up we may have found that F/O specialist.

Last night he was 13/15
Night before he was 5/10
And in Chicago he was 4/6.

IMO, he's better on the wing because it puts him in the role of being first man in on the forecheck and I'd bet the stats actually indicate he's more productive in that spot because of it.

Correct. It'll be 10-12 games before we can draw any preliminary conclusions and another 10-12 games after that before you can start to feel confident enough to finalize any decisions. That carries us way past the deadline, so I think the team still needs to acquire a veteran faceoff guy.

If he keeps doing well in the FO circles the next couple of weeks though, maybe you tweak your strategy to look at righty FO guys and assume Peca's your lefty option. It's been a crazy long time since we had a good lefty/right FO battery we could count on.
