Default Nikita Gusev

Is closing in on 20 goals (has 18 as of the 2 goals he scored today) and has been tapped for the KHL All-Star Game. That is all.

I hope he has an out clause in his khl deal. Would love to get him over here to Syracuse next year.

Pretty sure he wouldn't come to NA to play for the normal $60k AHL salary even if he could get out of his KHL contract.

I wonder if the NHL would find some lame way to disqualify that in an actual game though.

It's a spin-o-rama. It wouldn't count.

Gusev was 2-2-4 in the actual game, btw, but lets just say cardboard cut outs would've put up more effort than the KHL All-Star goalies did. Very. Soft. Goals. They weren't trying.

The NHL goalies didn't try very hard either, except for Luongo maybe.

For their idiotic shootout thingie, they outlawed it to start this season--too tricky and dazzling for...the sideshow designed to entertain non-hockey fans. During regular play, no problem since he kept the puck below crossbar level the whole time
