Today short interview with Gusev was published http://www.sportsdaily.ru/articles/n...no-zovet-v-nxl (on Russian)

Most part of it is dedicated to his transfer to SKA St. Petersburg, but one question was regarding his NHL perspectives, My rough translation of this part (las two paragraphs):

Q: Probably, like any young and promising hockey player, you have already thought about leaving to the NHL.

A: Of course, there are such plans. My best friend Nikita Kucherov, with whom we communicate every day, for a long time says that I should move, but I can't leave at this mometn. He says that there is a completely different situation, and hockey. But each has his own goals and his own destiny. Nikita is going very well there and I am happy for him.

Q: Are you jealous?

A: Oh no, I hope he will be even better and better. Basically, I've been watching all of our guys who plays overseas league. I wonder how anyone develops their career. But most of all, of course, I watch Kucherov.

Pretty sure the KHL would never allow an NHL out clause.

Putin will allow them an out-clause. It's the old bullet to the head and you're out

Gusev just won the Gagarin Cup and led his team with 23 points in 18 games, so he's done everything he can in Russia. Time to cross the pond!

Vasily Koshechkin was actually named playoff MVP in defeat for Magnitogorsk.

Gusev had a goal and an assist in today's clinching game. His goal was scored off the rush on a wide open shot from the slot where he laced it about a foot and a half off the ice blocker side on Koshechkin off the inside of the post and in. Pretty perfect shot.
