We need to start talking more about the democratic candidates and less about Trump. It isn't possible to dislike him any more, and unless we plan to riot and begin attacking Trump advocates in the street as has been suggested by some on here before, there is nothing we can do about it.

The only thing the DC July 4th celebration will be missing is our military forced to goosestep before the GOP sycophants and the grabber-in-chief. Pathetic and disgusting.

This election is a referendum on Trump. Nothing more. Nothing less. Every single day that Democrats aren't talking about Trump's cruelty, corruption, and incompetence is a day they're getting further away from the goal of getting rid of him from office.

You are making a mistake, that the people who voted for him didn't understand what type of person he was already. Saying it louder isn't a winning strategy, the democratic base is already energized, the only new people who you are speaking to are those who've buried their heads in the sand for four years. Beating him at the ballot box means you beat him on the issues, and as long as we have an authentic and intelligent candidate running against him(not Hillary), he'll defeat himself in the debates.

I'm not. If you look at his approval ratings there are more than enough Democrats and Independents already who despise that man to throw him out of the White House. What remains is to keep them energized enough to turn out to the polls like they did in the midterm elections to actually do so. Getting lost in the nuanced thicket of health care reform policy wonkdom doesn't accomplish that goal, and it presents Trump a target to squeal "SOCIALISM (!)" about ad nauseam. There's an old saying in politics that if you're explaining, you're losing. If you're on defense, you're losing. Democrats need to be on constant offense, and Trump's ample orange ass has plenty of scandals and other warts to fill any anti-Trump candidate or surrogate's whole dance card.

Every minute of every day they need to be talking about how cruel, corrupt, and incompetent Trump and his Republican enablers are. Every. Damned. Minute.

I recently visited Vermont and was able to spend a bit of time with some of my cousins.
One of them is a retired sheriff, who is now doing boat and snowmobile border patrol on Lake Champlain.
I asked him why.
He said many agents are being sent to the southern borders and are short of agents.
I asked if there was a crisis on the southern border.
He said Yes.
I asked him if we are doing a good job with the security down there.
He said, we may be detaining about 10% of the mass coming across the border.

All his estimations. Have any of you spoke with any border agents to see what they say?

The solution is and always has been comprehensive immigration reform with a pathway to citizenship. Not a medieval wall. Not setting up detention camps and dissuading people by kidnapping their children and chucking them in wire cages. Real, mature, honest comprehensive immigration reform. The kind the Republicans will never allow to pass.

You're 2/3 right. Lots of talk about how cruel he is "babies in cages!", lots of talk about how corrupt he is "collaborated with the Russians!", but very little on how incompetent he is, as it pertains to the way it actually effects peoples lives anyways. At least that is the dialogue from the democratic front runners; whoever virtue signals and shows that they dislike Trump wins the nomination? That isn't how I want to choose our president. If I hear another rehearsed one liner I'm going to throw up.
