That's the best they could come us with? St. Louis BattleHawks?

They were explaining on the news last night that rattlesnakes are in the viper family and we have lots of those around... so... I guess there is that...

If I were attempting to start a spring league, I wouldn't even be messing around with NFL markets for my flagship franchises to begin with. The AAF was onto something with their regional allocation rules for players, and what I'd do is identify what the largest cities were that didn't have NFL franchises but did have, or were close to, hugely popular college programs. So, I'd be looking at putting my flagship teams in places like Birmingham (Alabama), Oklahoma City (Oklahoma), Columbus (Ohio State), etc. and stockpiling them with players from the nearby college or their rivals in conference. If you do that, you're the only game in town and you've got an instant fan base to draw on.

Mike Pence is disappointed in Andrew Luck retirement confirming that Luck made the correct decision.

He's probably dismayed because the new starter for the Colts isn't white.

True. Must remember that the great state of Indiana has the highest per capita KKK membership.

Wow, that's a surprising fact if true.

I have distant family from southern Indiana...That area is like anywhere in Mississippi. I'm not surprised at all.

The KKK is somewhat irrelevant these days being replaced by more sophisticated miscreants. In its heyday in the Ď20s it is estimated that around 30% of white males in IN (250,000) were members. They widened the scope to put Catholics
and Jews on the same playing field as blacks. Amazing amount of hatred there. Pence and Mother fit perfectly.

Brown released from Oakland, and right on cue the Pats come in and swoop him up.

Not that I care much about either Oakland or the Patriots, but what a bizarre case. My first thought is to simply dismiss AB as another case of Terrell Owen-esque selfishness and being a diva, but I've also heard the case made that he could have some legitimate mental problems. With the way head injuries are, this is something to keep a close eye on even if it looks like things may go back to normal for him now.
