Default Knight

Knight may not be 4-5 years away from starting, but the reason for signing Bob to,4-5 year deal is that he could help back Knight up and help acclimate him to the NHL much like Bishop did with Vasy.

You gotta think that JBB has a pretty good idea how much Point is going to need if he is meeting with Pavelski. I doubt you waste everyone's time unless it's actually feasible to sign him.

I do find it interesting that while there is all sorts of talk about guys like connor and marner meeting with other teams, we haven't heard anything about point doing this (or I've just completely missed it).

I wouldn't even be talking to Pavelski unless I had an idea of Vasy too

July 1st is gonna be a big day.

And if you are JBB wouldn’t you want to know what other options are out there in case you can’t sign Point?

Not saying anything other than this guy has the best hands/puck-tipper skills in the league, AND doesn't take no for an answer.

Pavelski will be gone on day 1, hard to imagine that he's a contingency plan for Point.

I'd be really surprised if Bob only signs for 4-5 years anywhere.

I guess I'm terrible at math, but if Point takes say 7-8 Mil per year and you sign Pavelski to another sizable deal 5.5-6.5...wheres the room for anyone else and aren't we fooked for next year with a bunch more guys including Vasy needing deals?

I would assume Pavelski would want 2-3 years to uproot his family and cannot imagine him taking a lower offer if other teams are interested and can offer more. Winning a cup is also part of the equation, but last years debacle takes a little sheen off of our overall attractiveness...right?

I personally dont see how all this works, but it's fun to talk about.
