Would think they need to get Points contract figured out first, but looking forward to next year's RFAs, I dont see how all these players we are looking at fit into next years situation.

Secondly, aren't NTC and NMC players exempt from the expansion draft?

Not quite exempt, players on your roster with an NMC HAVE to be included in your protected list(thus taking up a spot there) unless they agree to waive it.

I didn't realize that Carter Verhaeghe is no longer waiver eligible. Based on that I think there is a good chance he makes the team because with the AHL numbers he put up last year it seems unlikely he would make it through waivers and I doubt they want to lose him for nothing. Assuming the same with Masin that would be two roster spots taken.

For organizational depth, of course.

I'm trying to figure out why they are going to load up with Bob after drafting knight.

Default Knight

I donít think Knight is NHL ready, they will probably sign Bob to a 4-5 year deal and then he can back up Knight.
