Gohmert's not a spring chicken, so that's not great news. I don't wish death on my political opponents (just jail time in some deserving cases).

The Economic Policy Institute estimates the Republican plan to cut unemployment benefits by $400/person will mean 3.4 million fewer jobs over the next 12 months.

After refusing to ever wear a mask. He earned his dumb prize for playing Trump's dumb game.

Do they want all but Montana, Wyoming, Alabama, Arkansas, and the Dakotas to go Blue?

He just got a lot dumber

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) is questioning whether his positive coronavirus test could have been linked to his face mask.

Gohmert, one of several House Republicans who have been notable in not wearing masks at the Capitol, told KETK-TV, a Fox News affiliate, that he'd been wearing a mask more frequently.

“It's really ironic, because, you know, a lot of people have made a big deal out of me not wearing a mask a lot, but in the last week or two. I have worn a mask, more than I have in the whole last four months," he said.

He then questioned whether that could have led to his positive test.

‘The numbers are dismal:’ Trump campaign, super PAC pause ads in Michigan
https://www.mcclatchydc.com/news/pol...244567752.html

Evidently DubDub's friends in Michigan have even managed to fool Trump's campaign. Diabolical.

Quote:
Trump has not led in a single public poll of Michigan all year. A Morning Consult survey of likely voters released on Tuesday showed the president trailing Biden by 10 points. The RealClearPolitics average of polls tracks Biden with an 8-point advantage.

“The numbers are dismal,” said one GOP pollster familiar with internal data tracking the state. “Hard to see how it remains competitive.”

As of this morning, the Trump campaign is dark on local TV across the country --

Comes as the Biden campaign has dramatically increased its TV ad spending

And it's not just Michigan.

I would imagine this is the new campaign manager re-tooling messaging, because I can't imagine they're already to the "acceptance of defeat and embezzle as much campaign money as you can carry" phase quite yet.

Well... yeah.

1,290 deaths in the US so far today. Florida and Texas both took it on the chin with over 200 deaths in each state.

https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/

https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/

If there is a silver lining, both states Rt is now below 1.0. Has been for a couple of days now. So, hopefully, within the next few weeks things start to settle back down.

https://rt.live/

New case number today is 61,520, which is down from some of the 70,000+ days we were seeing last week, so that's better albeit still not great.
