Oh for sure. I've enjoyed almost all of the world cup that I've watched, but that game really stood out today, in all the worst ways.

It reminded me of the time I thought to myself, hey dannybolt, you're enjoying watching the Premier League, why not try watching a Serie A game? Never again.

Look out, Messi appears to have brought the goals this year.

So tomorrow is the big game. I sure hope the team can perform ok. We are on 1 less day of rest and are coming out of a game in the amazon. The troubling thing is that there have been 4 teams that played in two games in manaus prior to the US-Portugal game. Those teams played 6 games combined after manaus and were 0-1-5 (w-t-l). And even worse all 4 teams were eliminated and are headed home already. Seems that jungle heat and humidity effect is very real.

I will be interested to see if Jurgen starts some rested players especially for Besler who looked completely spent. Cameron did too but it's hard to picture subbing for both starting center backs. What I would give for just a tie (in either game)

Eh, the "Manaus effect" could also be that those teams weren't that great to begin with (Italy, England, Croatia, Cameroon)..

If anyone could be used to heat and humidity it's Americans who had to play MLS games through the summer in places like Dallas and Houston while everyone else is on break.

Ghana kicked two players off their team, including Prince Boateng. If Ghana doesn't boat race Portugal, the US is in excellent shape.

And Muntari is the other guy and is a big name himself playing for AC Milan. I still just want that game to end in a tie.

So Suarez gets a 9 game ban for his third act of biting in three years. Wasn't his last suspension 10 games?

I know Cameron was horrible against Portugal, but Omar Gonzalez is not any better, Klinsi! Ugh.. Bedoya has been pretty solid defensively, hope Davis is up to the task.

I think that the cameron decision is more about fatigue after Manaus. Although Besler is in a similar situation. Will be interesting.
