Default Professionalism

The league needs to get more professional in terms of training and accountability of referees. They must have a system to grade the officials on their calls and non calls and ask for some type of explanation in certain cases, like disputed calls for example. Maybe a system of fines is necessary, but I think an off ice official who can offer positive critique on a perperiod basis might be necessary, especially with those officials we have seen be very biased. The best officials should be working the playoffs and they should call the playoffs just like they call the regular season. Plus officials must be told/warned that they are not out there to promote parity and give a team a better chance to win against a better team, but to call a fair game.

Another game, another game decided by the officials. Head shot by Barbashev on Hertl - no call.

Well, I didn't watch the game but five to nothing doesn't appear to be a game decided by the refs... a one or two goal game maybe... but I have been wrong before...

A major could have been a big game changer at that stage.

In any case another blown call by the officials.

Gotta feel for Jumbo and Couture. Missing 8, 65 and Hertl made it tough for the Sharks. That said, Binnington and the heavy Blues will be a strong opponent for the hated Bruins.

You could not put two more loathsome fan bases in the final. Not even Blackhawks fans are as bad as self-righteous St. Louis sports fans. I will watch zero seconds of it. I am hoping for a meteor.

Personally I'll take St.Louis over Boston.

This. All. Day. Long.

Hopefully watching Tarasenko lifting the Cup will inspire Kucherov in a way that watching Ovechkin doing the same apparently didn't.
